Description
This course provides real estate professionals with practical guidance on representing sellers
and managing listings in today’s evolving compensation landscape. As industry practices shift
toward seller direct compensation structures, and South Carolina REALTORS provided forms
are now seller direction only, listing agents must understand how to effectively communicate the
obligations buyer clients have in their buyer agreements, and navigate compensation
conversations with both sellers and cooperating agents.
Participants will learn strategies for presenting listing services, explaining compensation options
to clients, and maintaining compliance with current regulations and industry standards. The
course will also explore how seller-directed compensation affects marketing strategies, buyer
agent relationships, negotiations, and transaction management.
Through real-world scenarios and best practices, agents will gain the skills needed to
confidently advise sellers, negotiate contracts with seller net proceeds in mind, and manage
transactions within the seller direct compensation model while protecting their clients’ interests.
